Comedy Festival 2011

Good news! Mrs. Peacock will be appearing in this year’s Best of the Billys on Sunday 15 May at SkyCity Theatre, Auckland.

Bad news! That’s all we’re doing in this year’s NZ International Comedy Festival… at least together. Which leads us directly to another piece of…

Good news! You can see Jarrod performing in his first ever solo show*, Litany of Failures, from 18-21 May at Fringe Bar in Wellington.

Bad news! Litany of Failures isn’t playing in Auckland, because we couldn’t find an appropriate karaoke bar slash comedy club slash late-night drag queen hangout there. However if you’re still keen to come along then we hear that you can score some real cheap flights these days and maybe one of the people you meet at the Fringe Bar will let you sleep on their couch or something.

You can buy tickets to Litany of Failures from Ticketek.

Musical skill matched by comedic talent

More reviews for Nature’s Beast

"the best I’ve seen you do" - my sister

"it was great … you have a very real and clever talent" - my aunty

"I heard lots of great things about your show" - D Mizzle*

So pretty much you can’t afford to miss it. Only three days left.

*NB: has not been to the show himself.

We get interviews

Charlotte Ryan from bFM’s Morning Glory show was kind enough to talk to us on the radio yesterday. Click though to hear what we said and did (including a special live mashup performance).

We get reviews

Nik Smythe from Theatreview calls us “audacious deadbeats”. That’s a poster quote if ever I saw one.

Grant Buist viciously libels Mrs. Peacock in this week’s Capital Times. Or perhaps viscously. He is, after all, known for his viscosity. [Click to see a larger version]

We made another cover version. This is us doing the Holidaymakers song “Sweet Lovers”.

Back in 2006, we performed with a full live band: the Rocktron 3000. Here’s some of the footage from that show, filmed and edited by Mr Cameron “Pinchey” Murray.
